NTSE (National Talent Search Examination) is a National Level Examination conducted by NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) to provide the scholarship to the deserving candidates. This examination is for secondary school level to identify and recognize students with high intellect and skills.
The examination is conducted every year at 2 levels:
State Level - Stage 1 and
Stage 2 (National level) . To avail the scholarship program, the applicants should qualify both levels of the examination.
Candidates can fill the application form through both the online and offline modes. The application form will be distributed separately by different states. The last date of application submission also varies from state to state.
The examination is divided into two papers.
Paper 1 : Mental Ability Test (MAT)
Mental Ability Test – 100 Questions
Duration - 120 Mins
Paper 2 : Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)
Science - 40 Questions,
Social Science – 40 Questions,
Mathematics – 20 Questions,
Duration - 120 Mins
No negative marking in Level 1. 1/3rd marks for every wrong answer in Level 2.
